Lehár Festival Bad Ischl 2011

Every year Bad Ischl is host throughout the summer to performances of Operettas by Franz Lehár. For the 50th anniversary of the Lehar Operetta Festival this year there will be new productions of “Im Weißen Rössl” and “Paganini”.

Kaiserbummel Bad Ischl

Bad Ischl invites its guests and customers for the 7th year onto the red carpet to celebrate the birthday of Kaiser Franz Joseph! The paths are swept, the shops are decorated and the red carpet is laid. There is a festive atmosphere and plenty of entertainment for everyone.

Ischler Bauernherbstfest

Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th August 2011

Musical opening on Thursday 16:00hrs. Friday at 12:00hrs there will be a March by ‘Bürgermusikkapelle’ followed by the opening of a market of local delicacies and crafts. Saturday at 10:00hrs, music from ‘Jainzner Musikkapelle’ sets the scene in the Kurpark. As part of the agricultural and forestry showcase “Sauschneider-Sepp” will make a world record attempt to carve the longest wooden chain in the world. Local musicians provide traditional music for your evening entertainment. Sunday sees a musical closure to the festival.

10. Bad Ischler Raiffeisen Halbmarathon - Kaiserlauf

With a childrens run, a fun-run of 6.7km and a half marathon of 21km. Through the unique landscape of Bad Ischl the half marathon route takes runners alongside rivers, historic buildings and far away from traffic.

Guided Tours of Bad Ischl

For groups of up to 40 persons. Guides show you the unique charm of the imperial town with tours lasting 1½ hrs and are on Monday and Thursday at 16:00hrs or Sundays at 10:00hrs. Tours start at Trinkhalle, are available all year round and are free to guests who have the Ischl Karte (available free to all guest with a minimum stay of 3 nights), otherwise Euro 5.00. per guest.
